# Who makes GloboPoll

Who makes GloboPoll: Cibernatural S.L., in Lanzarote. Why it exists, what we guarantee and what we don't, where the data is and how to reach us.

GloboPoll is a product of Cibernatural S.L., a software company in Lanzarote, Spain. Here is who is responsible for the service, what we promise and what we don't.

## Who is behind it

GloboPoll is designed, built and run by Cibernatural S.L. (tax ID B38692158), based at C/ Luis Morote 7, 1.º – Oficina 1, 35500 Arrecife, Lanzarote (Spain). It owns the service and is the data controller.

## Why it exists

For years we have built websites and systems for newsrooms, local councils and small businesses, and the same request keeps coming back: ask our people something and be able to trust the result. Quick polls get voted ten times, long forms hardly get filled in and professional tools charge per response. GloboPoll is the tool we were missing: free to start, in six languages and with one vote per person.

## What we guarantee

What the platform does, not what a text promises:

- One vote per person. The database itself prevents it, not an on-screen check: with an account, one per person; without one, one per connection and browser; with an invitation, one per code.
- Human review. Every poll in the public catalogue is reviewed by a person before it goes live.
- Result fixed at closing. When a poll closes, the count is stored and does not change even if another vote arrives.
- No tracking cookies. No advertising and no data sold; usage statistics do not use cookies.

## What we don't guarantee

So that nobody quotes a GloboPoll figure as something it is not:

- It is not a representative sample. Anyone who wants to can vote, so the result tells you what voters think, not the whole population.
- Anonymous voting is not foolproof. We block VPNs and proxies and count by connection and browser, but a determined person with several devices and connections can vote more than once. If that matters, use account or invitation voting.
- We do not verify identities. With an account we know the email exists, not who the person is; for a closed list of voters there are single-use invitations.

## Where the data is

Servers and databases are in the European Union, and backups are encrypted. Providers only handle what is strictly necessary: Cloudflare for delivery and bot protection, Stripe for payments and an email service for notifications. The full list is in the privacy policy.
